What Think Ye of Christ?

"While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them, Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The Son of David." - Matthew 22:41-42
What do you think about Jesus Christ? What is your personal opinion of Him? Hopefully you have considered Him, who He is, what He has done for you, and your relationship with Him. From His question to the Pharisees, it seems that our opinion is important to Him.
Surely, we should think of Him as successful. Yes, Jesus is successful in all that He has done. Paul wrote, "For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen". This means that every promise that God has ever made to his people will be satisfied by Christ. It also means that he is the fount of every blessing, the channel through which every blessing must flow. If Jesus came down from heaven to save His people from their sins, we must believe that He did it if we are thinking about Him as we should.
To me, this is the platform of our faith. The success of Jesus Christ is the sum and substance of all theology. Jesus saved His people from their sins. He didn't try to save them, He did it! He didn't make them savable, He saved them! He didn't do a portion of the work and leave the rest for us to do, He did it all! If we do not believe this, our thinking is skewed concerning the our great Savior and King.-NMP
